Hi friends:

Saena is a band from Mexico which features very educated and talented musicians and featuring female vocals , they have been together for a couple of years, but their first album has been just released, today i could attend to the presentation of their album and it was a great show.

Just to mention a couple of members are Jose Luis Fernandez Ledesma who has been a prolific musician in the Mexican prog rock scene, he played wit hNirgal Vallis and has released several solo albums, and Alejandro Sanchez who played with Nazca and Decibel, both avant-garde bands.

Please, have a look to their myspace, enjoy (or not) the music and add them as soon as possible Big%20smile, i could write the Bio, Eclectic and Symphonic teams may be interested on this, it might remind you to La Pura Realidad.

That Fernández ledesma guy is an awesome avan-garde creator. I suspect that Saena's album must be terrific.

Yes, because I'm in charge of receiving some copies and selling them among my prog friends - and their friends - in Lima, then send the money back to Mexico (that's what an associate producer does). As of now, I'm yet to recive the package, but when I do I'm sure I will enjoy it: the three tracks in Myspace are all terrific, bearing a distinctive sound. This band really knows how to do something new out of something as old as symphonic prog: elements of chamber-rock and fusion are noticebale, but esssentially it is symphonic prog. I don't notice the similarities to La Pura Realidad: this reminds me of an imporved Iconoclasta and of José Luis Fernández Ledesma's "Designios" /his only symphonic oriented album, the rest are avant-prog).

While we're calling the attention on Saena, we should do the same with José Luis Fernández ledesm'a solo career, as well.

    Kind regards.

PS.: I'm also the associate producer of JLFL's "Híbridos" and CDC's "Hecho en México", despite my name doesn't appear on the latter's credits.

Oh, by the way, Memowakeman: are you familiar with JLFL's entire discography? I only know "Sol Central", "Al Filo", "Designios", "La Paciencia de Job" and "Híbridos". I've proposed him for a PA entry, so if you've got tracklists and musicians' credits for all other JLFL albums, please PM me.

    Kind regards.

Been listening Saena and has my vote, next week will check it with the other two members of the team (HT and E-Dub).

Excuse me for the delay but our time is absiorved by the Neo Prog Team and the member in charge of working te addittions (Andu) has left because he had to face real life....And I don't blame him, his work is first.

You simply can't imagine how hard is to foind reliable information for some Neo Prog bands, it's a paradox that thios work was much easier with the Symphonic bands despite being older. And photos or websites....Forget it in most cases.

Will be searching for a fourth member, even when the offer is open for a member who has not authorized me yet to reveal his name.

Iván
