For me these 3 songs represent the best from each band, that doesn't mean they're THE best song from each band, but surely close, anyways it's my opinion..

I relate these 3 songs cause they develop almost everything Prog needs, as well as the 3 of them have similarities on structure, not riffs(if they had), solos, etc, just that each one begins with an acoustic guitar, and then they develop into darker or powerful..

Have in mind that I LOVE A Passion Play, SOYCD, Echoes, Sheep, Pigs(three different ones), Atom Heart Mother, others. But as I said before these 3 have similarities, at least to me, so let's see what you think.

It's gotta be Brick 1 for me. Dogs is dandy and Supper is great, but Thick as a Brick is one of the finest tunes I've ever laid ears upon. Part 1 especially.

Horribly difficult to choose, but I think TAAB part 1 just has the edge over the other 2.

Dogs is excellent, but TAAB was pretty disapointing for me.

Got to go with Supper. I like all three.

Has anyone heard Les Claypool's cover of the Animals CD?

I highly recommend it.

Suppers Ready, all are great but not many bands make an epic like Supper

I can imagine...

But see the bright side! I'll celebrate the first vote of Antoine going to Genesis, but it's not Supper's Ready VS Big Generator, NO! Against DOGS! composed by his old friend Roger Waters and Thick as a Brick!! Another fave band of yours!!!
Amazing, I must say. some clappies my dear

Thick as a Brick does me every time , something about the playfulness and the musicianship that just lights my soul. Supper is an imperfect masterpiece that remains a fave . Dogs just leaves me boneless!
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
