Cacho, you sure know how to set a tough question, don't you? This is very tight for me between Dogs and Suppers Ready. Floyd are probably my favourite band but I do prefer quite a few others by them. I am going to go for Suppers Ready, by the merest of a whisker. Incidentally, what did you vote for Cacho?

Thick As A Brick, for me, despite my deep-seated adoration of Genesis. The organ-led section is simply so incredibly moving, and the lyrics are superb.
Dogs, well, not even my favourite Floyd (or even my favourite animal), but the other two were close enough

Incidentally, what did you vote for Cacho? | Haven't voted, yet. Tough..hehe. I find Dogs to be the most POWERFUL of the three, at cause of David's thundering solos, plus moog that both of the others don't have, but this one has a lack of AWSOME structure, compared to the other 2, of course. Supper's Ready, as structure, it's tied up with TAAB, as the BEST structure of all Prog IMHO. As well it has some excellent vocals, lyrics, atmosphere, keys, bass and guitar. I must say Supper's Ready beats Dogs, not easily but neither that difficult. And TAAB, well, the same as Supper, but with weaker electric guitar, but better acoustic guitar and flute. Vocals are almost equal, the same for the keys, the exception is that Supper has mellotron and some others, still John's hammond on TAAB is AMAZING. Difficult choice between these 2, still Dogs wouldn't be out that quickly, if it would be a FOR-All-YOUR-LIFE VOTE(I mean you can only choose one to listen the rest of your life..) TAAB just gets some bad views from me and others, I suppose, that at cause of Pt 2 which is very good but compared to Pt 1, is rather meh, it feel that TAAB isn't that consistent.. whatever.. Too much explanation, and no action(vote)? Here I go, I'll vote for TAAB. Still it could have been any.

TAAB, both parts in this masterpiece of Prog Rock JT have the most intricate piece of music i ever heard.
Supper is very close to TAAB.
Dogs.... i prefer Echoes. but i confess that the first phrase of the song is really captivating "you gotta be crazy..."
As a footnote i remember that when i was 17 age i have a girlfriend and we used to fight a lot, an "intense" love/hate situation, by those times somebody gave me a copy of a old vinyl copy of Animals, and i recorded in a cassette to hear on a walk man, when i leave her home, i walk to the subway (around to large blocks) and i used to put Dogs and asking me what do the hell i'm doing here???

Well a duh. Thick. Best album ever written in the history of pop...er, best song in the history of pop. Wait, is that right?
DISCLAIMER:
"Supper's Ready" is a masterpiece, and "Dogs" is pretty masterpiece-ish too (in fact, dunno which is better...probably "Supper" though). It's just...put 'em up against "Thick," and you leave me no choice.

Three of my favorite songs and my favorite songs by Genesis and JT. Dogs and Echoes go back and forth between my fav and second fav Floyd song. I have to vote Supper's Ready, but as someone else said, just by the merest of whisker over TAAB. Dogs comes in third, although still one of my all-time favs.
