I am in the mood for YES to have about 10 more albums between the Yes Album and Relayer.

language isn't important. Just the airy vocals, aggressive lead rickenbacker bass, too much keyboard and airy vocals.

right now I am jamming out to Druid and Akritas.

THANKS!

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

YES zombies would be fine. I guess they would have light airy grunts and groans instead of vocals?

Yezda Urfa ...I wouldn't call 'em clones, but they certainly sound similar at times.

The music of Belgian prog band "Now" has a lot of Yes traits.

Their album "Spheres" reminded me very much of "Going For The One" - era Yes.

Yes, I know, that's after Relayer, but I just read a Spheres - review that's pointing out to earlier Yes - albums. So maybe...

The Flower Kings are a great band in their own right, not Yes clones, but if you like Yes, you will love their music.

If language is not important yoy should check Espiritu: Crisalida from Argentina, not a clon but heavely influenced by Yes. Great album

The latest cd of Simon Says "Tartigrade" is especially, the 26 minutes epic, a copy of the gates of delirium. The bass player had confirmed himself that statement. There's some great Steve Howe style of guitar throught out the album. Wink

The trouble with Yes clones is that they don't have the vision and genius to go with it. Your best bet is to find other progressive bands that have the vision and genius to pull of their own sound.

I know all about vision, and that's not what I am looking for. I just want to hear bands that heard YES, liked it and said, "we can do that", then gave it their best.

I am under no delusion that I will find a great band, I'm just looking for those jokers who thought, "why not me".

and before anyone get's upset with me for picking on bands, I am in a "clone" band, and my friends are in clone bands.
