Hi folks,
I'm pleased to be able to report that things are beginning to move again in the Landmarq camp, albeit in terms of recording and product releases (see below). Sadly, the live side of things will have to remain on hold just for the time being. Happily, our Tracy has been given the all-clear from the big C which is excellent news. :happy0120: Hey, for those not aware, Landmarq will celebrate it's 20th anniversary next year in 2010. Yikes! Rest assured, we have various plans brewing for that one. By the by, if anyone is going to see Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, look out for Landmarq drummer Dave Wagstaffe who is now playing...er...drums for them! And in case you're wondering - no, he's not left Landmarq. He's just a man of many fingers with a very large pie! ;) Mike 'Mike' Varty is currently off with Shadowland, having also been playing out with Mick Pointers 'Script For A Jesters Tour', but will return very soon to begin final mixing of the new Landmarq album. Yay! We've also found an excellent artist/designer, Alan Winterflood, who has given us some rather tasty artwork for the new album. More on this later... 'TURBULENCE - THE POSTCARD'! As previously reported, Metal Mind Productions will be releasing 'Turbulence - Live In Poland' on CD. Release dates are 27th July 2009 for Europe and 8th September 2009 for USA. However, we have a small number of these CD's for sale direct from the Landmarq website that can be pre-ordered now and as a special offer, we have a very limited edition of special postcards to give away free with the first fifty orders received. These postcards will be personally signed by the band. (Future collectors item, or what?! ;) ) This also means that for those in the USA and/or the world outside Europe, you can secure a copy well before the September release date. But remember, we only have a small number of these ourselves and only the first fifty will have the signed postcard. (Of course, the CD should otherwise be available through the normal channels, Amazon, etc.) The link below will take you to a new page on the Landmarq website where you can find out more about the CD, listen to sample extracts and order the CD direct from us via PayPal (through Gargoyle Records).
