Come to my arms, my beamish boy! Tripel Karmeliet is, indeed, EXCELLENT, and I'd advise all those who are beer lovers NOT to say "No" when you bump into it!

My own personal favourite, however, is Tripel WESTMALLE, another first-rate Belgian beer.

In addition, since I live in the UK, I also love Brakspear and Fuller's London Pride (or ESB). Out of the poll, I prefer Guinness draft - yummy!!!

Fullers is generally superb. If you're ever in Norfolk I think you'd like Woodforde's Wherry
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

Once had this legit German beer, Franziskaner.
It was not too bad, but thick as hell! Could've chewed that beer

Woodforde's Wherry is wonderful,Martin. CAMRA gold award winner on quite a few occasions if memory serves me well. I try to buy a pin or two every year. We live near the Real Ale.Com shop in Twickenham which also provides a beer search for that illusive beer of yesteryear.

I would also recommend Brakspear's Double Dropped.

We (Mrs Erg and myself) were at a wedding reception last night.The venue was at The Museum of Kent Life near Maidstone. The bar was stocked with Shepherd Neame's Spitfire, Master Brew and the highly recommended,'Whitstable Bay'. Lovely.

I like brown beer, stout or refermented beer with a high alcool volume and often with a yeast base. Only one is enough...Wink My favorites comes from Quebec and Belgium.

I like the Chimay Blue (Trappist, Belgian monastery beer) the best, but it changes from time to time.

From this list, Guinness draught. I can drink it all night long, and frequently do Smile

I'm also a sucker for a good IPA, favourites include Stone IPA, Hercules Double IPA, Goose Island IPA and ACME IPA. From Belgium, I greatly enjoy Corsendonk Pater Dubbel, Grimbergen Dubbel and Leffe Brune.

Norwegian breweries mostly produce lager, which is a shame(lagers either taste absolutely nothing when served cold, or like lukewarm piss when tempered), but there are a few smaller breweries who crank out top-notch stuff. The most famous of these being Den Nøgne Ø, but Haandbryggeriet and Ægir also make excellent beer.
With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince.
With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with.

I was all about Shiner before I moved from Austin a decade ago.
Moved to Arizona and thought I'd never see it again. Then one day, several months later, moping through the beer aisle looking for something interesting in a Safeway, there it was again! Yea! Clap

But it's not my favorite. Just a "comfort food" LOL

I'd have to go with Mackeson Triple Stout, Fuller's London Pride, Negra Modelo, the Obsidian Porter brewed at a local place called Thunder Canyon Brewery, and all the beers - especially the PM Porter and Red  from BJ's Brewhouse.

Dissapointed no NZ beer made the list. Seriously, nothing says quality like a megafactory brewed mass consumption Pale Ale, Tui.

Could have voted for Guinness as well as it at times tastes like gift from heaven -or from Betelgeuze! Wink 

My favorite of all the beers in this planet is, however, Erdinger Dunkel.

(BTW I noticed my friend Slartibartfast writing in this topic - maybe my friend Zaphod is also writing in this forum? Arthur? Tricia? )
