''Bucium is a Romanian rock band twining folklore patterns. Brimming with progressive sounds, Bucium is an original reinterpretation of folk music patterns put in a very contemporary key that nearly resounds with a work of art. The sound of the two violins convey the specificity of Bucium sound: they progressively release tensions and resolutions within the classic rock framework.''

Bucium members:
 
Andi Dumitrescu - guitars, vocals
Mihai Balabas - violin
Dan Simoaica - bass

They only have one album released in 2008 named Voievozii (best songs Maria, Rovine 1394). In present they are working on their second album wich will be relesed in 2010.

Me neither!  Any release date yet?  I received a newsletter email from the band around Christmas time which stated that they were due to release a new album shortly, but haven't heard anything since.

But by golly! this has to be one of the best things I've heard in 2010!
I've checked their official site and there are no gig dates for this year yet. Maybe after the album is released.
