This isn't the weirdest band name to any stretch (because as long as grindcore exists, there will be weird and stupid band names), but I did find it weird and funny when I first saw the band name: Stolen Babies. They're not on here but they certainly do have progressive/avant-garde leanings, and their drummer used to drum for a tech metal favorite on here: The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Blodwyn is a traditional Welsh boys name. The band name apparently was thought up by some stoned mate of Mick Abrahams in 1969 just after Abrahams left Jethro Tull.As a name its probably about as meaningfull as Pink Floyd.
Thank you.

Only partially weird because of the original notion's scientific pretentions, but made much weirder because of its infamous mizpelling: VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR

While we are on the subject of names - Can anyone tell me what "La" means in La Dusseldorf?
It's not German word.
So, do I file this band under "L" or "D"? If "La" is French for "the", I will file it under "D" but if it means something else I will file it under "L" as they do in Prog Archives.

Apparently not only the name was weird .
Amazing video! Try to suggest it for RIO/Avant! But I´m very dissapointed for nobody had throw the s**t against the wall at all...
