Morning Teleportation: not totally sure where to place them, but their debut album is definitely progressive.

Bruce Hornsby: wait...stop. Get "The Way It Is" out of your head. His 90s material is fairly progressive. Certainly a candidate for the jazz section of the site. Despite being apart of "& the Range" and "& the Noise Makers" and "Trio" I believe it should all be lumped together as just him and depicted in the bio that there are several different groups of people he play(ed/s) with.

If their debut work has already been released, they can be fitter for RIO than Jazz Rock / Fusion methinks. Thumbs Up

Their debut came out a week ago. It's a solid album regardless of being prog or not. Most of the songs have random changes and complete 180s in them.

This link was on their Facebook book page so I'm assuming it's "official"

Thats really funny, I'm listening to Morning Teleportation right now... My brother gave me the CD to listen to yesterday...

So far so good! I'm not sure if they are prog or not but they are good. Highly reccomended to fans of Modest Mouse
who hiccuped endlessly trying to giggle but wound up with a sob

Funny how Bruce Hornsby was overlooked xD

Morning Teleportation certainly has prog elements though.

I listened to the samples on Bruce Hornsby's MySpace and they weren't promising at all. You are free to build a case for him by posting relevant samples in this thread.

RE Morning Teleportation, they're very nice! They do sound like Modest Mouse and other indie bands, but IMO progressive enough to stand a chance for Crossover Prog. I'll notify the team for an evaluation.

Also, next time please open sepparate threads for each band suggestion.

Admittedly Hornsby isn't prog 100% of the time but neither is most of the stuff in prog related. His live performances definitely have a lot of change ups in tempo and even occasionally the tuning. His studio efforts don't show this frequently but it is on his 90s jazz albums.
