Phaedra is a classic album and I like it. But after listening to Chromengel yesterday (thanks Salty Jon), I voted Cyborg.

Cyborg for me - desolate like watching your wristwatch tic toccing away on the surface of planet Venus.

Cyborg for sure. Not sure why you chose the bonus track from it as the sample though...great song, but it's not at all the style of the original album.

Love them both far to much to choose one over the other. Both albums and especially the stunning Mysterious Semblance at the Strand of Nightmares + Chromengel are essential highlights of Progressive Electronic.

Definitely Cyborg for me. That is a particular favourite Schulze of mine, whereas Phaedra is a step down from the former Tangerine Dream albums for me (I like the first four TD albums the most, with Zeit being really magnificent).

Neither samples direct to the original stuff (But Beautiful isn't even related to Cyborg), how annoying.

Phaedra, even if I find the title track a little underwhelming.
Haha that Tangerine Dream clip sounds nothing like Phaedra. I know nobody wants to drag around Moog modulars and Arps all over the place anymore, but you can't just replace a Mellotron or a Moog with an Access Virus or Nord and have it come off convincingly. Tough call - Phaedra will almost certainly win, so I'll big it up for the excellent and somewhat overlooked Cyborg.

I know this is a bonus track, a different stuff recodred live at different place than original album. Well, those videos are just decor for this poll, and I put that (really great) track because it's complete stuff, not in parts. So, if they put that one for bonus track, then that's not such a big crime when I put the same track as a decor for a poll aswell.
PS Same with a Tangerine Dream video - I know it was recorded so many years after Pheadra LP, that very first Virgin release. Edited by Svetonio - July 02 2011 at 23:52 |

Cyborg wins, but not by much.

Cyborg is great, but I think Phaedra just has more appeal. I voted Tangerine Dream.
