Topic: Larks Tounges Almost Killed me!!!!!!!!!! Posted: November 25 2004 at 00:17 |
Not but 9 hours ago i was walking to band practice listening to KC's fabulous "Larks' Tounges In Aspic" in my cd player, I'm listening to the title cut part 1 and its real quiet at the beggining for those of you not familiar with it and i get to this real busy street and i wanna hear the music but the cars are too loud so i cross real fast so i can hear the part were it explodes into the "da da da da da da" part (the heavy part) this car speeding down the street almost hits me. there was a foot gap between me and the car, i hopped out of the way of getting hit. Hopped. Anyways i got to hear the part when it gets heavy when i finished crossing the street so it was worth it.
Anyone else almost die because of or whall listening to prog?

Yes that is a valid reason, share your experience. I'd like to hear of someone being stocked by someone else on the forum for saying Foxtrot or Animals sucks big time or something.

Well, a psychotic young metalhead once joined here, then, when we didn't like his brainless foul-mouthery, threatened to kill us all (but especially me), on another forum (it was a deaf-metal site, BTW -- yeah, I just LOVE that stuff!)
Oh yes: and Gdub, whom I've "known" via this site for about a week (and who wants to have drug abusers and liberals rounded up and shot, before they make his taxes go up, or decrease his property value ), wants to kill me because I won't tell him where I live.
That's about it for me and "death via prog," I think.
For now....
Hmmmmm.... Peter Hammill solo -- wonder what this sounds like....
AIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Good night -- sleep tight!
But remember: somewhere out there in the night, an anthrax-crazed UPS worker (apparently, they go more "postal" than postal workers! ) is likely closing in.
Ye shall know him by his hot pink uniform, with the shirt tied, and the unsightly extra head growing off of his shoulder....

If he comes for me, I do want King Crimson playing.
Or maybe Iron Butterfly like in "Manhunter"...that'd be pretty cool too.
I'm a big fan of David Lynch & Tarentino but I DON'T want some cheesy forgotten pop song in the background. If it has to be a Lynch soundtrack, then the death metal bit from "Wild at Heart" would be acceptable. Or even Fantomas' rendition of "The Omen"...no, too stylized. Let's keep it real.
But come to think of it, my house isn't really a good homicide backdrop either. Can we do it in a church, or maybe a cornfield? No, I guess outdoors is out because then we'd need a P.A. or something- I won't have my death music played on a cheap boombox.
So a church. Well, that's kinda over-the-top gothic. Maybe...a warehouse? a factory? Somewhere with hissing steam vents...that works.
Or a firing squad. Man, will I enjoy that last cigarette. No blindfold, though- I want to lock eyes with my killer(s) at the instant of my death to communicate whatever visions of beyond I may experience.
And PLEASE put my body through a woodchipper after death; ever since "Fargo" that's seemed like such a striking image- especially if there's snow on the ground to highlight the blood splatters.

Tell me, can you prove a point without killing someone. I think killing someone kinda defeats the purpose of your squabble and especially when its about POSTS ON A FORUM for christ sakes. besides what difference does it make to hurt someone for their beliefs thats just ignorant.

No woodchipper for you, philosophy boy!
You'll be dipped & preserved in liquid plastic -- yes, it's the VINYL SOLUTION!
(again)
Now, let me go to bed, you screaming blue meanies!

It doesn't matter which way he is preserved because his spirit will expand and become one with the universe and every expression of life for that matter.

Cool.
But are Mariah Carey and the gibbering (extra) head on Gdub's shoulder included in that "every expression of life" thingy?
BTW, I hear that "Spurious George (B.)" tells him how to vote.
