I'll go for Menstrual (joke) In The Gallery. I wouldn't be without Benefit though either.
I'm kind of thinking I won't need Thick 2.

I like them both, but I think Benefit is more uneven than Minstrel. And I have Minstrel as part of my little LP collection, which I guess is somewhat telling.
So Minstrel it is.

IMHO Benefit is a more consistent album than Minstrel. I find Black Satin Dancer and Baker St Muse to be almost there but not quite there...if you get my drift. No weak tracks on Benefit as far as I'm concerned.
I recall that IA was not happy with the playing on Minstrel. Their recorded it In their mobile studio. It's still a fantastic album however.

Benefit is my favourite Tull album, so... Minstrel, in my opinion, would have been a great poetry book, but musically I lose interest in it by the end of Side A.

1975 and 76 are tulls weakest years of the 70s. 1970 is a pretty strong year. The remaster has Teacher and Witches promise. Benefit comfortably

Benefit just beats out Minstrel for me.

Tough call for me. I vote for Minstrel, but not by much. Benefit is a great album with some terrific music on it. I'd vote both if it was an option. Baker Street Muse puts Minstrel over the top for me.
