Many of the questions on that test are rather stupid but I love tests so:

Economic Left/Right: 3.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.41

I'm not doing this on a computer so I can't post the pic of my compass but my location is somewhat similar to Pat's, a little bit higher in the vertical axis and a more than a little more to the right in the horizontal one.

Pat, you're slowly becoming a marxist. Tongue

And you're becoming Milton Friedman !

I would have thought Paul would be lower and further left.

And here's a handy-dandy chart of how I compare to all the presidential candidates:

I think I'm still about as far on the right, but I've definitely dropped a few points lower on the chart.

LOL! Not the most accurate but I think those results are no surprise. Everyone clustered, with Santorum being the most authoritarianLOL
Political compass is a pretty decent test, one of the best I've personally seen.

I used to be bottom left aka less government in your life, more for economics...let's see if I've moved much.
I kind of doubt it because I remember the questions being kind of vague and you could agree/disagree with the statement while having lots of wiggle room

No joke....I don't think any political cartoons/drawings are ever really funny. You either like it/hate it based on whether you agree or not.

I don't know if you are serious about that picture or posting to troll us but yeah...Wubya wiped his ass with the Constitution and Bama is throwing it out.
Guess he figured easier to trash than clean it!

Yeah, the questions are vague...more like general statements. Wish there was a test more specific, but this is still decent. Paints a general picture.
Definite libertarian shift from the last time I took the test.

Last time

Romney's location on the diagram is wrong. He wouldn't have one. His score with be a formula, amd the results would be totally based on variables.

The vagueness of the questions (and what is asked) is also wrong.
The "right" on that chart is less government in the economy and the big 4 are all almost to the level of Paul!

I wanna say in reality they should be far more to the center and left.
The "social" authoritarian levels are pretty much spot on thoughCry
And sh*t...I'm farther south than all of you except that crazed horse.

Stay out of my personal life you bunch of fascistsAngry

Hey guys not to get too caught up with fun quizzes but this one seems better, I'd say certainly more accurate for me.
Also gives a nice break down.
I've shifted well to the right and into "libertarian" on economics for this quiz.

Because a 4-4 verdict would be super annoying for everyone? I assume someone will bring it up between now and July when they actually rule.

I waver between being some sort of moronic centrist and wanting to burn down everything.

I scored a little to your right Brian:

Compass:

You are a right social libertarian.
Right: 6.2, Libertarian: 8.66

Foreign Policy:

On the left side are pacifists and anti-war activists. On the right side are those who want a strong military that intervenes around the world. You scored: -6.52

Culture:

Where are you in the culture war? On the liberal side, or the conservative side? This scale may apply more to the US than other countries. You scored: -3.11

Damn you are out there :P

Deff well to the "right" with econ while I'm less so, but way more non interventionist.
Finally, an online quiz that accurately tells me what I know about myself already Cool

What's this about Kagan?

The Supreme Court has become activist and not so interested in true dedication to the law?

You are a centrist social libertarian.
Right: 0.96, Libertarian: 7.3

Today you learned I am more moderate than yourself, Brian. Cool

Also, I am just not convinced of a free market's power for good without restraint. I know too much government intervention is a bad thing, but I must say I don't see how it could be much better with no government. There should be a minimal government to ensure some things. Overall, I have some views that are anti-libertarian, such as the desire for a minimum wage, economic sanctions against oppressive nations, a social safety net, health care. The issue is to what extreme do those programs go. In a modern prosperous society like the USA, in this century, there should be an some degree of universal health care. In my vision of a civilized society in the 21st century, that is one marker.

OK, I think you didn't mean to write haw instead of have.  My wife and I have discussed this and it took some interesting turns.  Is Zimmerman "white"?   If he had been "black" would he not have been arrested?  It's really hard not to take "race" out of the equation.  In any event, they guy was apparently not "standing his ground".  He was a mentally disturbed individual and actively went after someone and gunned him down.  I've seen the photos of the guy and if I'm not mistaken he is a hispanic guy with a jewish last name.  Nevertheless an unarmed black kid was gunned down who apparently wasn't doing anything wron.

What's the point of bringing race into it? Who cares if he would have been arrested if he were black? Let's just get the guy arrested and get this kid's killer behind bars. I don't see why it has to be a group A against group B thing.

His death is being exploited and that's disturbing to watch.

How far up your asses are your heads?

It was about race since the beginning.
