So looking forward to this!

Do we know if the album is totally instrumental, or with a few vocals sections like the first album `Hybris'?

Taken from the band's facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/anglagardrecords

Here's some info regarding the upcoming Änglagård album.
The release date is not set yet, but should be in the middle or end of June.

It's a three fold digipak and a booklet with artwork and poem for every song.

The album name is "Viljans Öga"

It includes four songs:
1: Ur Vilande
2: Sorgmantel
3: Snårdom
4: Längtans Klocka

The length of the album is about 57 minutes.

//Anna

Can't wait! for this! (Pic related)

So, VdGG, Renaissance, and now Anglagard are supporting new albums at NEARfest? SWEET!!! Coincidence? I wonder...

Looks like a bad version of the one from Epilog.

Änglagård announced that their highly anticipated third studio album is scheduled for a release in June. During the band's first performance since their 2003 reunion here in Stockholm the members of the band unveiled that the new album is going to be titled "Viljans Öga" and will continue the tradition of the lengthy compositions that were featured on their previous releases.

Awesome! Very curious to see what they sound like after absorbing 8 years worth of influences. Hybris is quite possibly my favourite 90's album from any genre, and it's up there for favourite overall. About halfway through "Kung Bore" I always drop anything I'm doing and rock out like a maniac. Tongue
And everything under the sun is in tune

But the sun is eclipsed by the moon

They've sent me an E-Mail via their newsletter mailing list, that will be buried sooner or later (they mention), sad to say.
Quote Anglagard have been busy recording a new album. There no release date yet (or label or name or cover), but Spring / Summer 2012 should be a good guess. A documentary about the making of the album is being made; the first part can be watched at http://vimeo.com/36273489.
Cannot wait for their newest stuff really. Cool

Saw that update today. So stoked, especially since I seem to be in the minority who much preferred Epilog

"Finally. The recording of Änglagårds third album starts today. The plan is to record drums on two songs, and possibly some grand piano and Timpani. Thomas and Jonas have been working hard this weekend getting all the monitor files in order and I have been trying to figure out how much crapola Ill be bringing to the studio. With a bit of luck it will all work out."

People of Progverse, did you know that Anglagard is back? Well i did NOT know and finding that out put a big smile on my face since they were responsible for a couple of amazing albums and my regaining faith in the possibility of Prog Rock´s ressurgence in the early 90s. Read here: Anglagard.net - Änglagård: A Swedish prog rock band.

I like both. Of course, "Hybris" is my favourite album too, but that was a magnificent pair of masterpieces! And maybe soon we'll get "three of a perfect pair"! Wink
