Riversea have finished the mixing of their long-awaited debut full album 'Out Of An Ancient World'.

The band is a joint project between 'Nine Stones Close' bandmates Marc Atkinson and Brendan Eyre (Marc also sang on the two latest 'Mandalaband' albums).

The album is due for release in the spring of 2012, which is now almost upon us. The album features Marc Atkinson (vocals/acoustic guitar, MANDALABAND/NINE STONES CLOSE) and Brendan Eyre (keyboards, NINE STONES CLOSE) with guest performances by Bryan Josh, Liam Davison (guitars), Olivia Sparnenn (backing vocal) - all of MOSTLY AUTUMN, Adam Dawson (guitar, STOLEN EARTH/BREATHING SPACE), Mark Rowen (guitar, ex-BREATHING SPACE), Ashley Mulford (guitar, MANDALABAND/SAD CAFE), Adrian Jones (guitar, NINE STONES CLOSE), Matt Cohen (bass, THE REASONING), Alex Cromarty (drums, THE HEATHER FINDLAY BAND), Loiuse Dawson (backing vocal, THE WIGGLERS), Dave Clements (bass, KINGS OF QUEEN) and Janine Benn (backing vocal, THE DARK FLOWERS)...

That's quite an impressive line up...

First ever live airing of the Riversea album 'Out Of An Ancient World' on Aiiradio.net: http://www.livestream.com/aiiradionet/video?clipId=pla_571fca9f-d02b-4c43-81ce-97addaacaa53. The artists invloved talk about the album and play the tracks on it. Sound levels are a bit low on this - you'll need to tweak the volume up, and the first minute and a half is just an advert, but otherwise well worth a listen. This link will only be available on line for a very short time, so tune in now!

I heard the interesting interview with lead singer of Riversea on prog radio tonight. You can listen here:

Mark Atkinson is a Dr Who addict too like me!

You and other Dr. Who addicts might want to look up a band called Blue Gillespie too ;-)
