For me it would be Passion Play part 2. I love the whole album, but actually like part 2 better than part 1.

Great album. Dark Passion Play. Nightwish is pretty great. Best band to ever come out of Finnland

Never heard of that album. Unless you mean "Six degrees of inner turbulence".

Rise And Fall part 2 by Pallas comes to mind. Well, it's not of epic length, but I like it anyway.
Pts. 6-9 of Crazy Diamond by Floyd is also good

I actually prefer that to "Köhntarkösz (Part Two)". myself, but wasn't think of E-Re as a classic Prog album (even if music off the quite recent studio album of that name is "classic" Magma - for E Re II, "Ëmëhntëht-Rê (Extrait n' deux)" off Üdü Wüdü, "Hhaï"off Live/Hhaï, and "Zombies (Ghost Dance)" off Üdü Wüdü. It depends upon one's interpretation of the question, though. |

I agree, saw Ian live about a week ago and almost enjoyed TAAB 2 as much as I enjoyed the first... |

Thick As a Brick Pt. 2 for me. Larks Pt. 2 comes a close second (I actually like Pt. 2 slightly better than Pt. 1). But all of the Pt. 2's the OP mentioned are great. I would also mention Tubular Bells and Ommadawn parts the second, as well as Snowtorch Pt. 2 and I Am The Sun Pt. 2,

Don't know them all, but Lark's Toungues part 2 is so much better for my taste than part 1. The other's that I know may be enjoyable too, but not better than part 1. Also, Hergest Ridge part 2, from Mike Oldfield, is much better than part 1, as far as I'm concerned. Perhaps the same could be said about incantations, but I haven't heard that one so much.

Larks Tongues Part 2 in the ring tone on my phone, it always makes me smile when someone calls and that driving intro jumps in.

Yeah, since the material (and some form of the overall performance thanks to some various live shows I've heard of over the years) has been available forever, especially for Hhaï/Zombies portion, my choice was pretty much made for me. |

Maybe you had also in mind the recent "Seven degrees of separation" from Arena, which I must admit I haven't heard yet. |

Yes, e-Re part 2 is truly excellent.
But it is effectively a reprise from "Hhai" piece performed Live in the 70's by Magma. I prefer the new version E-Re 2. |

TAAB2 is very good. I enjoy it more than TAAB1 Part 2. Some songs are very good, like "Banker bets...". I love "A change of horses", which I think sounds much like "Loreena mc Kennitt" music, which I also love. I greatly recommend her "Live from the Alhambra". I saw Tull Live 12 years ago. It was very enjoyable, despite Anderson's voice. But what a flute player ! |
