Hihihihi
I'm a friend of Submach1ne. I'm a prog metal fan, and have been into prog in general since I first heard some of The Mars Volta's music when I was 13. I'm really into a lot of metal, post-rock, math-rock and nu jazz as well. I am a huge fan of Dir en grey, and some of my other favorites include Katatonia, Animals as Leaders, Jizue, Toe, and Ihsahn. I've been aware of Prog Archives' existence for a few years, but only made an account when Submach1ne casually suggested I should. I'm mostly just going to lurk for a bit to get a hang of the community, if you guys don't mind. |

Jizue and Toe are both great. We have similar taste Myaku.
Have you heard of Nuito? Japanese Math-Rock band that gets pretty dense.

Tosin: Hi! Tosin: Sure. Tosin: Thank you. and then I scurried away Also I see you like Seventh Wonder. They were one of my favorite bands a few years back. Seriously underrated stuff. Edited by myaku - January 17 2013 at 18:37 |

I'd really enjoy Tosin if he put out an acoustic album, or a clean-only album. He's really good at writing some beautiful melodies and chord progressions but can't listen to AAL cause for every 1 great beautiful passage there's 5 minutes of pointless shredding and crappy djent riffs

Glad you like it, figured the mix of MR and the heavy, complex riffs(AAL'ish) would interest you. Hope you stick around and maybe start posting!

Welcome, Myaku. I was a lurker for a while too. Hope you don't stay in the shadows too long, seems like you might have a lot of potential to contribute to discussions here.
