So... you meant to say that you don't like any of the best prog bands? Tongue

hahahaha!!! Thellama73, I am sure he didn't mean it that being limited to those or otherwise he will change his mind real quick being here Hug

I don't mean to be cruel, but I hope that he takes the time to explore the classics such as King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull, Camel, Van Der Graaf Generator, Gentle Giant, etc. Apart from Rush, I don't like a single band on that list.

I know exactly what you mean Thellama, you are curious, certainly said nothing negative and were most welcoming too :) all the above bands you mentioned I like them a lot too except for one which everyone loves inc. Bluenipper Big smile
A huge hug to you Hug Thellama xxxx

While you're fooling around you're improving other people's English?
Sounds more like "schooling around" than "fooling around" Smile

Sure, but why create another word when sidetracking already exists? Tongue

If relicing is a correct word, so would offtopicing be Geek
I'm good at logicing. Approve
Applicing rules to language is like mathematicing Cool
Nope. When two words are compounded to form a new word a hyphen is used, for example off-road or off-piste, you will also notice that offtopicing contains the word "icing" (which is how you would pronouce the ending in your spelling) rather than "icking", so the addition of the "k" results in the correct pronoucination.

So yes, English has rules, most of which are broken with alarming regularity, but that does not mean those rules never apply.

I believe you, but like BaldJean earlier in the thread, I was just fooling around Wink
And now: Back to topic
I always wanted to use that emoticon once LOL

Off-topicing would be a better word for it, I suppose.

Would offtracking also be a feasible term for what the collected collaborators and senior members are doing to this poor newbies thread?

in the case you point out, my guess is one wouldn't say "They antique a lot",  but rather "They go antiquing a lot"
