I've never heard the album Close To The Edge, although I've heard all the music that's on it, just not together. Nor have I heard Red Other than those, I own all the current top 10 and have played them many times. Of the Top Fifty albums, there are thirty which I've never heard.

Never heard a full album by Spock's Beard, Renaissance, Ayreon and any Devin Townsend related stuff.

Pain of Salvation is a band I haven't heard a full album by yet. I'm not sure I want to either. The same goes for Ayreon.
I've sampled a little here and there, but for my tastes the cheese content is too overpowering.

Same for me except I have Godbluff. The biggest one in the Top 30 that I've not heard is Hot Rats, I have lots of Zappa but haven't got round to that so far.

A little derivitave of the 'greats' (name me many bands here who aren't...) but they put their own stamp on the music. Try Epilog; see what you think.

A Trick of the Tail comes to mind first. Beyond that, any highly acclaimed album by Camel, Pain of Salvation, Gentle Giant, and Frank Zappa. I also haven't heard but really want to hear Crimson by Edge of Sanity and there's a lot of RPI I need to get around to digesting as well. And for those who said they haven't heard The Silent Corner and the Empty Stage yet, you're in for a real treat. It's one of my top 10 favorite albums ever and has the second-best song I've ever heard (as of now) on it with A Louse is Not a Home, only topped by Starless. It's an amazing album, and I can't speak highly enough for it.

^^^ ooooh, Wind and Wuthering is a gorgeous album I don't see Selling England on your list so I'll assume you've heard that. Not nearly the same, a lot more airy and pastoral but definitely worth a listen for Eleventh Earl of Mar and One For the Vine I've personally never heard any of Anglagard's works and those are kind of a big deal so I hear

I'm with you on Silent Corner, never gotten around to it. As for me...
Wind & Wuthering Discipline To Shatter All Accord Misplaced Childhood Aquarius Foxtrot Peter Gabriel 3 (Melt)
to name a few. I know there's a lot more, but those stick out.

List the albums that people may be shocked you haven't heard.
I have never gotten around to listening to these, Im just never in the mood for some reason:
- silent corner and the empty stage - birds of fire - a farewell to kings - hemispheres - rubycon
From what i hear, most people consider these classics. There are many more I'm sure
