I've been listening to the stoner band Nebula for awhile now and really like them.So far i have 2 of their efforts "To The Center" and "Atomic Ritual".I think i like Atomic Ritual the best. I can really see Black Sabbath and Hawkwind influences in this band.Just wondering if any other fans exist here? I'm going to buy more of their stuff when i get a chance.

Not too big on their earlier records, but I quite like Atomic Ritual and Apollo. Had the pleasure to see them live as an opening act for Monster Magnet back in 2007. For the record I think Nebula sound most like a more aggressive and extroverted Captain Beyond, but there's definitely Hawkwind and Sabbath vibes in there tooo.

I concur with you sir on your analysis of Nebula. One could say Captain Beyond on steroids in fact.I just noticed alot of Nebula's lyrics were about space, space travel & what not is where i saw a Hawkwind connection. Not to mention Hawkwindish keyboard playing thrown in the mix.For the Black Sabbath connection it's the heavy riffs & long Iommi like solo's,only with much more whamy bar action, which i like. Not to much lovey dovey stuff to be found on a Nebula LP.Also i like the raw live-like sound they deliver.Glad i'm not alone here though as a Nebula fanSmile.
