Have not seen him suggested yet. I may have missed it, though, as his name is actually referenced quite frequently on PA!
Francis Dunnery was the original vocalist/guitarist for It Bites in the 1980s. He has a new release, Frankenstein Monster, which can be heard on his bandcamp. The shop page on his official site is actually quite a discography! I've no idea how much of it is prog, though this new release most assuredly is. There's also a double live in the studio release called There's A Whole New World Out There, which says its a reworking of some of his songs from It Bites, along with some cover songs. It's also mentioned on the following PA thread: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=61853. From what I can tell from wikipedia his other releases are more straight forward rock and pop, but I seem to recall a "one and you're in" rule for PA, so... For what it's worth, I'm not familiar with any It Bites prior to the recent A Map Of The Past (where he is replaced by John Mitchell), but I like this new solo release much more than anything on that album. His wikipedia page lists his solo discography as follows: Albums

It's true that we have a one pure prog album is all you need, so I'll take a look at this guy's album.

I have the album "Let's Go Do What Happens", it's sophisticated, smart adult pop, like a good Peter Gabriel album. That particular album wouldn't strike me as prog, but if the new album qualifies, he would seem like a good candidate for the site.

It had its moments of not prog but it has enough to warrant crossover taking a look.

His latest album is more proggy than the others that I've heard.
Edit: Sorry, missed the link in Infocat's original post, but here's another endorsement anyway. Cheers!

That's great, because if he's in before the end of January Frankenstein Monster will appear on at least one collaborator's top ten list.

Well, he was cleared earlier this year, and all four votes cast were positive ones - didn't quite make it into the archives in time for the top ten lists...but at least he is now going to be recognised on here.
