I may add that what this poll measures is not the total knowledge any of us has of prog, but rather the total knowledge we have about the segment/bands the author of the quiz is interested in. I would say I scored poorly, but I know about some other bands/segments of prog that were not covered in that quiz.

Yeah some of the the questions were arbitrary and deliberately super obscure. You can go obscure but generally stick to "important" things, as opposed to naming the members of Band of Rain.

In my opinnion it's just a poll, and It's just a fun thing to do which helps you remember some things. That's all! I scored 60% with some guessings (of course) as most of you folks. But it's impossible to know all the questions there, except if you have dedicate your life to Progressive Rock. For example I'm 46 years old, and I listen to Prog (and other styles ofc) since I was 20. I was DJ in Rock bars, I have my own radio show which deals with Prog A LOT, and I scored 60%... So what? I guess you understand what I'm trying to say here, right? Just enjoy the poll, and do not take it seriously! P.S: But I'm very pleased that so many people took some time to do it and write their comments. Thank you! I'll be back soon with another poll...

48%
This is of course subjective. This poll is King-Crimson-and-neo-prog-oriented :D
I was happy to be able to answer "Who could see your house from here" anyway !

60% for me, with some guessing. It should have been a bit higher as it seems to the think I picked the wrong answer for the Pictures At An Exhibition question when I'm quite sure I selected Mussorgsky.
Anyway, never even heard of the bands and artists in the ones I guessed on, so a bit TOO obscure if you ask me.

I got 50% exactly, with a lot of guessing. After I was done, it said:
"Ok you know the big names, but if it aint well known then you don't know it. Shame your missing out on good stuff, go have a good look at some of the less well known bands, you';ll like what your hear. I promise."
Well, of course, as with most of us, I know quite a few obscure bands that weren't on the quiz. A lot of the bands I did know and knew already that I was not interested in them.

Okay, but I'm making my own quiz and I'm going to get 100% on it.

I got 37% with no guessing; much of the obscure stuff relates to bands I'm aware of but are way outside my sphere of interest. Some of it requires a very loose definition of prog (as if there's such thing as a tight definition).
Indeed, whole realms of prog are missed by the poll. For example, RIO and post-rock/math rock really get short shortchanged.
With an internet assist I was able to get 83%.
