Topic: Your Favorite Tull Song Posted: September 26 2014 at 08:49
No Thick as a Brick and A Passion Play. Only one song, please. What's your all-time favorite Jethro Tull song?

TAAB but... after that it's a hard choice. Either Living in the Past, My God, Songs from the Wood, or Moths. I'll go with My God. Edited by Friday13th - September 26 2014 at 09:18

Living In the Past for its nimble effortlessness and wonderful vocals by Mr. Anderson before his voice changed. Then there's Broadsword, a nifty little epic sung with conviction and encapsulated into an economic time frame worth noting by modern bands looking to do the same.

Wond'ring Aloud, My God, Witches Promise or Living in the Past? I could go with any one of these actually. I guess I'll pick My God. Well, on second thought, If I'm out in the woods, which is my favorite place to listen to Tull, the ambience would dictate Witches Promise as my fave then. Sorry, Barbu, but Thick As A Brick (the song) is my favorite Jethro Tull song. True, I don't care much for the rest of the album. I also do like the rest of the Tull's best known songs, plus the lovely Bouree :)

I am a fan of Passion Play. So that piece was my favorite until I saw the Isle of Wight version of "My Sunday Feeling". Amazing energy.
