I'd like to see Hamlin win it the most of the four remaining.

I'd have no problem with Logano either. He's driven quite well this year.

To screw with NASCAR's reasoning for this new system, yeah I wouldn't mind seeing Newman win it all, but really, I'm rooting for Joey Logano.  Him winning it would p!$$ so many people off that I'd enjoy it.

^ Yeah, a bit of a bs move there from Newman, but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do to get in. Was rooting for Gordon but alas...

At this point anyone but Harvick will be great...but I would kinda like Newman to win the championship as he hasn't won any races this year and it will warm my heart a bit to see that scenario play out.

I love that Button had a solid day all around and actually improved his position by 1 at the finish.  Good stuff.

This Phoenix race has me on pins and needles.  Go Gordon!

EDIT:  Welp, there went Gordon's title hopes.  Newman door slams Kyle Larson in the last turn to gain the one point he needed to advance, and in turn, knocking Gordon out.  So bummed...CryCryCryCryCry

What a dominant weekend for Nico, who managed to do enough to keep Lewis at bay and never fully threaten.
With all the talk about pressure getting to him IDK...he handled it superbly this weekend. He at least lives to fight one more race.

Gotta love Massa grabbing third, and great finish for Button in 4th.

Button. I like the guy, I do, and I have given him a bit more credit than I used to, including this year, he's impressed at times. Buuuutt it probably is time for McLaren to replace him, imho, with younger fresh talent.

Wow! Think Nico is inspired this weekend? Fastest lap ever at Interlagos!
Too little too late, and any possible hope I literally saw slip away as he was passed by Lewis last weekLOL It was like watching the title slip right there.
But hey, we shall see...Lewis had it locked up in 2007 as well, and double points, anything can happen.
Just want two exciting races to finish.

Edit: Been busy lately, not following as much as I want to. Belated Congrats to Lewis on his 32nd win last week, the most of any UK driver! Don't even have to specify English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish whatever...LOLhe tops em all

I don't think he will, I think he's already made the decision to step away. In an interview with the BBC he said he doesnt want to race if he's not out for wins, and when asked if McLaren offered him a contract now would he sign, there was a very long pause before he said "I don't know." To me that says he's not convinced that next years car is going to be a winner and that he really only wants to be fighting for wins.

Hamilton will probably win again. Nico makes too many silly mistakes. He seems like a nervous horse.

I don't think anyone will really miss Max Chilton, his lack of development over last year was disappointing and he was comprehensively outperformed by Bianchi, a driver who really was heading for the top before his unfortunate accident.

Button was the victim of bad strategy from McLaren last time (they do seem to get it wrong more often than not) in trying to run long stints on the tyres. With the Gearbox penalty meaning Jenson was behind Magnussen he was having to do all the fighting as a rear gunner when the faster cars caught up, nothing he could have done other than show he's better at wheel to wheel racing than most of the grid.

Yesterday he had an ERS failure on his first out lap in FP1 and FP2 was spent trying new things aimed at the future which just didn't work at Interlagos. I really hope he's retained for next year, an Alonso/Button pairing would potentially be the strongest on the grid.

What a year !

Looks like us Englanders have lost two driver virtually overnight.
Just down to Lewis now.
 Jenson will be sorely missed.
I met Max Chilton at Barcelona race this year and the poor lad was convinced he was heading for the top....not the chop Cry

What the hell is the deal with Button these last two races?

And yes, Phoenix will be fun this weekend.  I wish Gordon had more of a cushion than one point over 5th, but he should be okay, this being a very strong track for him.

^The rest of the field is catching up to Mercedes. They're only a half second off their pace now. LOL

Brazil this weekend, Hamilton just needs 2 second places to be champion regardless of whether Rosberg wins both races or not. Bad start to the weekend for Perez, he has a 7 place penalty for running into Raikkonen and Sutil in Austin and Juncadella crashed his car in FP1, meaning Sergio has had no practice time so far. It's also been announced that Williams test driver Felipe Nasr will drive for Sauber next year alongside Marcus Ericsson, that names not at all confusing with Felipe Massa. Finally, Marussia are definitely gone, they've closed their doors and the 200 staff have been let go, the same goes for the Manor GP3 team as well (Manor Motorsport formed the core of Marussia).

Great overtake from Lewis yesterday !
 Bet that sickened Rosberg .
That track is a stunning playground as well ! A classic track in the making as long as it keeps hosting .
The McLaren  /  Alonso is rumour gaining more strength today so Jenson must be worried.

You have no idea how pi$$ed I am about that outcome.  Gordon's season is in serious jeopardy now because of that crap.

Yes. I can understand that. It felt terrible to watch...especially at that hands of that dipsh*t.

Luckily for Gordon it's pretty much wide open for next week. +13 isn't really that much and all four spots are open.

But yeah...a win today would have been much better.
