Focus for Hamburger Concerto... not the output K.C... but that one album topped anything K.C did as far as personal enjoyment. Plus if you make it this far in the tournament... you need some love and don't deserve to be obliterated as Focus is going to be in this one.

Had Focus never existed, would the world of prog be much different today?
hell yeah... Jon Anderson would have certainly tried his hand at yoddling and prog as we know it would have crashed and burned... Yes.. not ELP would have become the poster child for the evils of prog and become the most reviled group in all of music.
Oh yes.. without Focus.. prog would be so much different. Now King Crimson? pff. First prog album? hardly
the middle period. People go nut over it, but was it anything really special.. not one damn bit.
The late 70's. All they did was take cue from the Talking Heads, and the Talking Heads were far better AT it.

oh I see lol no doubt prog would be no more
thus yes.. Focus actually had, in a strange convoluted (yes.. in a Micky) kind of way. We can say with great conviction that Focus had more importance to prog rock than King Crimson
Neo didn't save prog... Focus did.
