Wet Dream - Richard Wright

Since I see questions asked on all sorts of albums, I have one for you, too.
So what do you think of Rick Wright's 1978 album "Wet Dream"?

"Pink's Song" is a strange little number that tells a story of Syd Barrett visiting Richard Wright at his house on a weekly basis...where eventually a lack of communication developed between the 2 of them when Syd began to make himself at home, staring into space and remaining quiet for the whole of his visits. "I had to go, I could not stay" supposedly meant that Rick Wright was busy recording with the Floyd and his polite way of asking Syd to leave. Another explanation into the song's meaning stated that Syd would often let himself in ..as if to assume that Rick Wright was not locking the door to his home or perhaps Syd had a secret passage way into the house...nevertheless..I recall reading that Rick Wright would arrive home to find Syd Barrett sitting on his couch. These details were written decades ago in a few magazines that I owned. I sincerely doubt if they have ever re-surfaced on the internet. As many articles from the 70's are thrown off record into a scrap pile for burning process and only one particular article printed on a Rock band from the 70's will in fact be the one to show up on the internet containing all it's lack of information and important insight to things people are curious about...such as the background on the writing of a specific song. Who in fact can believe everything they read about Pink Floyd when quite often in Rock history..conflicting stories exist.

Was always afraid to try this lp out. Did not expect much from this corner.

Then last year , for first time, I got a copy - and only because I was having a hard time trading with someone (finding lps in his store that I might want in trade).


Was most pleasantly surprized.
Damn - this is an early WYATT lp. Crissakes!

I love that song!   do you remember any of the others?   I know I also put Lindsey Buckingham's -  trouble Poco - Barbados 10CC - lazy ways     but I cant remember the rest offhand   "Lazy" by 10CC I remember very well! The others you've mentioned ..I don't. My wife sings "Lazy" around the house.
