A nice top three and it looks like Island will take this not too surprisingly.

Such emotion when it comes to their music, an impressive band.

Also I wasn't expecting Shakary to get any attention, so to see 2 votes is pleasantly surprising. The drummer for them drummed with PFM in the eighties. The topic of this album is meaningful to me having spent my life in a tourist town. A special work.

Only heard just over half so I won't vote, but Circus is probably my favourite at the moment

Hmmm I must've missed your poll John, but I guess we can blame that entirely on the Mickster eh?
If it was Cottonwood Hill, then I would've voted for Brainticket in a heartbeat. I know many folks are repelled by the monotonous conveyor belt organ with those added bits of electronic madness, but I just love that part myself. Beautifully strange that one.
In the end I went for the cowboy's freak out album in 'An Invisible World Revelaed'. Gotta love that harmonica!!! I love how he's able to make an otherwise prairie sounding entity sound psychedelic.

I feel bad for Peter Giger's Drum Circus though Wonderful album
(possibly also responsible for one of my most confused reviews on this site)

I haven't listened to either for quite a while and having seen youtube videos of them live i'm jealous that you saw them at ROSfest.

Great to see such varying opinions and pretty much every album listed getting some love. And I almost didn't add that Krokodil album but i'm glad I did.

Hey Tom! It and celestial Ocean are neck and neck for me, tough to pick one but both are great. Their debut Cottonwood Hill is a psychedelic classic as Guldbamsen points out. Not easy to digest and very much out there.

I think Phil picked them and they have been mentioned also so it's just really good to see the love spread around here. I should read your review David, i'm sure I already have but my memory sucks.

I do have most, but not Celestial Ocean. I've a live release from CO period, great stuff but poor sound really. I do love what Joel VDB and his troupe created. Can't wait to get the recent album from them (once I order my next batch from Syn Phonic)......

I thought this poll was long done. I knew you'd be picking Circus Hugues and that's an album I might just take to work today, another one I haven't heard in ages.

Oh yeah I did see that Joel and company had a new one coming out, I need to investigate.

they were great. Too bad I brought a friend who doesn't really "get" prog other than some of the folkier stuff (he's like me only worse!) . Sometimes that can detract from one's enjoyment
