Catapilla has Robert Calvert on saxophone (not to be confused with the singer of Hawkwind).
The United Jazz and Rock Ensemble has Charlie Mariano and Barbara Thompson on sax (and Ian Carr and Ack van Rooyen on trumpet, Kenny Wheeler on flügelhorn and Albert Mangelsdorff on trombone - what a horn section!)
Hawkwind has Nik Turner on sax on all albums up to "Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music" and on some later albums.
Brainstorm (the German band of that name) has Roland Schaeffer on sax. He also played with Guru Guru (he is in the current line-up), Embryo, RoRo ( a two-man band consisting of Roland Schaeffer and Roman Bunka). Schaeffer is also an excellent guitar player.
OSANNA then with Elio d´Anna and now David Jackson fantastic ! can you dig that man !
Pekka Pohjola "Harakka Bialoipokku" and "Visitation"
UNITED JAZZ ROCK ENSEMBLE
Barbara Thompson with COLOSSEUM was incredible live at Keitele Jazz 2011. Now her style has matured, adds a female touch to heavy sound different than Heckstall-Smith´s but not weaker

I've completely forgotten to mention the band Raw Material, considered by some people as VdGG clones. I wouldn't call them clones, but the use of the saxophone indeed may remind the work of David Jackson.
Yeah, cstack - Mel Collins on the Fish Out of Water album.....Mel Collins on ANY album makes things a whole lot better. He and guitarist Phil Miller - snap up anything they're on!

I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....
