Topic: Best Dream Theater songs for a Iron Maiden fan? Posted: September 29 2015 at 19:47 |
Images & Words, Awake. And if you don't have a thing against modern metal or something, then maybe Train of Thought too. But I hope you sincerely don't expect LaBrie to live up to the Air Raid Siren for you'd then be disappointed. Listen to them for Petrucci and Myung, also Moore on the early albums.

Being a big Maiden fan, Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence was the album that first hooked me.

I agree that DT peaked with Awake. FII has some great songs. That album is unfairly maligned, while SFAM is overrated. I think a Maiden fan will enjoy anything up through FII, including the EP A Change of Seasons.

Awake and Train of Thought are my favorites from them, although they have many pretty good albums. For an Iron Maiden fan though, I'd say Images and Words and Awake might be your best bet.
Oh, and check out their cover of To Tame a Land, it's really great.

I am a big Iron Maiden fan and I want to listen to some good Dream Theater songs.
My first try with the song Misunderstood was great. Loved the song.
Any other songs do you recommend that might entice my appetite for Dream Theater?
