It is an excellent review, other than the snarky opening commentary of course .

Don't we all. I've been known to throw a little snark myself.

his reviews are a mixed bag to me. sometimes they are great, sometimes he is in my opinion way off the mark, like for example in this one: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=52098 one of my favorite albums. I gave it 4 stars in my review but I really should have given it 5. and he gives it a mere 2 http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=52057 and some of his recommendations honestly leave me baffled. he even added a band that is very obviously not prog at all under Krautrock. I forgot the name, but I listened to all three of their albums, and they sounded exactly like Credence Clearwater Revival. they actually made an album with them as well. and does anyone here honestly think CCR are a prog band? please don't hit Philippe for having another taste and without being concrete. I wrote a review on the latter occasion ... |

I don't hit him over the head for his different taste. but for adding a band that sounds like CCR he deserves a little hitting

Great Battles review from the fruitman aka David
I'm not sure I agree, but it has lead me to reinvestigate the album...as soon as I get some coffee in my veins. |

I have really enjoyed Olav's (WindHawk) review for Iron Maiden's: The Book Of souls.
It's a very clinical read and I appreciate the depth of it. |

^Haven't seen her in a bit; I'm guessing she's mourning Bowie.
And I don't think that post was sarcasm, she meant it. |
