Topic: Lady Lake vs Pawn Hearts Posted: March 06 2016 at 10:27 |
two astounding albums of eclectic, jazzy, raw prog albums who uses Saxophone in a revolutionary way, rawwww like tartar, and gruff like a stew, which appeals more to you.

How did I know Christopher is behind this ?? Well, I've only 'felt' any relation between these 2 bands/albums on the title-cut Lady Lake (particularly the intro), outside of that, not much. My vote goes, of course, to VDGG.

Lady Lake, I enjoy Pawn Harts but consider it one of the weaker VdGG albums.

By the way: Gnidrolog is an anagram of "Old Gringo" and of "Goldogrin", the language Tolkien invented for Middle-earth.

| And Rod Ogling, which may exist as an invented name in certain performing arts (pole vault circus acrobatics, for instance).

I think Rod Ogling is done while male pole dancers do their thing. As for the OP, Pawn Hearts is an outstanding album - one of VdG's finest while Lady Lake is more of a curiosity with not enough groovy material to make it essential.....it's an album that's on the shelf but rarely makes it to the turntable.

I've often wondered - is the 'G' silent ?? .......Nidrolog, or GaNidrolog - or like Italian, Nyidrolog ????
