Not really my sort of music, but Karen had a lovely voice. And that guitar solo at the end of Goodbye To Love is one of my all time favourites.

I get hungry when I hear a Carpenters' song.

What? Why are you glaring at me?

I think I just figured this out, but not sure that I wanted to figure it out.

If you can be that successful when guys like Chicago, the Stones, Sabbath, Floyd, and Zep are dominating, you must be doing something right.   I'd think their songs would be almost as poplar now as they were then.

Perhaps. But Karen would have to auto-tune. LOL

She self auto-tuned as she sang; her use of the Slur was masterful :

Well, it was the 70s, David. I you sure she didn't slur because of some mood modifier?Wacko

I'm sure.   It was Richard who had to go to rehab for quaaludes, Karen just vomited a lot.

They were very big at the time but I was into hard rock so...
I know Richard was a big vinyl collector then because I saw him one afternoon at the Licorice Pizza record store in Downey. He was pulling albums out of the bins left and right and bought at least fifty that day.
My friend that worked in the store told me he did that every two or three months.

I liked them in a way and I still do. Maybe I shouldn't.

Option #1 anyway.

Yeah I like em. Remind me of childhood, and my mum listening to them while doing the housework during the school holidays. Some of those songs haunt me. In a nice way..
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!
