I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

I could have gone multiple choice as I love a number of these, but I voted for Leprino. Integrati...Disintegrati is an album that I return to so very often. I adore it. We've talked about six stars for extra special to us albums, and that album would be a six out of five for me.
Picchio dal Pozzo is another that has meant a great deal to me, and Yugen is one of my favourite modern bands. And there's other great stuff I know here. |

6 stars for Integrati...Disintegrati? Sounds about right to me. It has become a very special album to me. Lately I've been spinning quite a few of those obscure electronic albums from the 70s and this one, in particular, made my juices flow like a ripe orange doing situps. Reconnected with a couple of old faves as well including Didier Bocquet's Voyage Cérébral, Esa Kotilainen's Ajatuslapsi, Anna Själv Tredie's Tussilago Fanfara, Pascal Comelade's Fluence (w Pinhas on guitar) and Jean Guerin's Tacét - the latter being something of a wild meeting between the middle bit to Floyd's Echoes and a wild Kraut/avant vibe complete with mad saxophone and sporadic drums.
Summertime means electronic music! |

Haven't heard most of those, music to search for. I love Voyage Cérébral. There is something great about electronic music and summertime even though I expect we both listen to it all year round. My funk listening also goes up in the summer: "Waka waka, hey hey, this time for Afreaka!" |

You and me both Greg. Just span Afreaka while watering my mother's flowerbed. T'was a funky way of doing it and one I'm inclined to reproduce. Harlem River Drive and Funkadelic also got played, but that was during the making of a pastasauce. I hope some of the rhythmic dancing I did spilled into the dish (and not just my sweat). |
