My wife has just told me.

Yet another shocking loss to the world of rock music. In their heyday, Quo were a fantastic act, and, in common with my rock fan friends in the 1970's, I loved them.

It's a shame Status Quo spent half of the 90's doing cover versions, but you most certainly rocked 'til you dropped!

I just read in a YouTube comment section that Dave Lawson informed one fan about The Web/Samurai bassist/guitar player John Eaton's passing in October this year.

How strange, I mentioned something about the sound engineer of Jorge Palma's debut on another thread, only to find out a bit later that he passed away this weekend. Hugo Ribeiro was THE Portuguese sound engineer in the 70's/80's. He recorded all the better known Portuguese Prog artists: José Cid, Tantra, Quarteto 1111, Banda do Casaco and Petrus Castrus.
