Topic: Yes - the 3 stars albums poll Posted: February 21 2018 at 03:23 |
3 stars means "good but not essential" if I remember right.
Do you find any of these as essential? Well, I do, the first two Yes albums at least. I say "at least" because I also love 90125, always did, not even have any shame to admit that.
I only hope Tormato won't get the most votes, if it does, then scold me for not understanding such a "masterpiece".

I have not heard all of these, but I find 90125 very enjoyable and rather 4 stars than 3.

90125, although for me it's a 5 star album. I've always loved it.

Probably Time and a Word, although I really like Fly From Here (but I seem to be in a small minority there!).

90125 was the album that got me in to Yes, I discovered the rest later, so that gets my vote.

Tomato---but I only listen to bits of ALL these albums can't get thru them song for song-- 90125 just sounds so dated to me can't get thru it---I mean I'd rather listen to Howe on a bad day then Rabin on a good one. And Howes playing on Tomato is brilliant and original ---On the Silent wings opening is just sublime from the whole band.

Time and a Word and The Ladder (though I feel I'm the only one who likes The Ladder around here).

Tormato. Other than Onward which I can't stand, I think it's a fantastic album

I guess Talk, just because of Endless Dream. Though Fly from Here has some really beautiful moments too.

| Onward is the only song I like on that album... and Don't Kill the Whale. Though the version of Onward from Keys to Ascension is the better one, with some beautiful acoustic guitar intro added by Howe.
