Just some playing with words and a bit of an unfair pairing, yet Can have quite the strong devoted fan base, but will it hold against one of the big 6.

If this is Can vs Yes, I voted Can. Anyway I push that first button.

Been a Yes fan since I was in high school, but only got into Can much more recently. Love Can but Yes has been with me for longer and means more to me, so it's Yes.

Yes by a very long distance (runaround or not), although I might find some delight in Can (saw or not). Btw, I favour both bands over the Pointer Sisters. Edited by someone_else - September 13 2018 at 04:34 |

Voted for Yes. I haven't really checked out Can too much . I did listen to Future Days & liked it . Need to explore more.

I love both! Never really thought of them in this context (both three letter words), I like it!
Lately I've listened to Yes a lot more than Can - mostly Drama & Fly From Here - but Can were really important to me in the early-2000s. I've been fortunate to meet both Damo & Malcolm Mooney. Can were all about the "spontaneous composition" and that's a path that I'm more interested in for my own music, though I also appreciate the more traditional compositional aspect of Yes too.

I listen to Can more often and, per capita, I like their albums better. Though I like Close to the Edge's title track better than anything Can did.

Can very easily for me.
Yes was one of the first Prog bands I got into (starting with Fragile), but it's not one that I've wanted to listen to much over the last twenty years. I used to love Yes, but I mostly lost interest in that band. Can, on the other hand, I only discovered a couple of years before joining this site, and my appreciation continued to increase for it over a number of years. I still listen to it very regularly. |
