Seeing as we have taken over the site I have decided to run a RIO/Avant World Cup
This will have 12 groups of 5 to start with the top 2 advancing The #1 seeds were based on the original 8 RIO bands plus 4 additional seeds. The balance were picked across countries and based on number of rankings. I kept bands from the same country apart. Top seeds - Henry Cow, Univers Zero, Aksak Maboul, Etron Fou Leloublan, Stormy Six, Samla Mammas Manna, Art Zoyd, Art Bears, Present, Thinking Plague, Cardiacs, Frank Zappa. Don't worry about not knowing all the bands, just vote for your favorite Etron Fou Leloublan - France - 183 ratings - 3.83 average Mr Bungle - USA - 586 - 3.99 This Heat - UK - 189 - 4.01 News From Babel - Multinational - 97 - 4.45 Von Zamla - Sweden - 64 - 3.77

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect. |

I thought Etron Fou would struggle as the number one seed in this group, looks still wide open.

And this is the easiest one so far, the only one of these that have released an album I unambiguously love from front to back is This Heat, with 'Deceit'

I'd have pegged you as a Mr Bungle - California lover.

Mr Bungle is a band that I feel like I should love, yet I've never gotten there.
But, I'll probably listen to that next and see if it changes my mind
