Ken Levine's mention of the Prog Folk group being fairly quiet lately (on the Shawn Phillips thread) made me check to see if Offa Rex had been offered up for potential addition.

They are a collaboration between Portland, OR band, The Decembrists (who are listed here at PA) and a fine British singer, Olivia Chaney.  They released their effort on Nonesuch in 2017, "The Queen of Hearts."

They revisit some ground that has been covered by Fairport Convention, The Pentangle, Bert Jansch, and Steeleye Span, amongst others, but given it a different sound by the result of the combination of players.  They, like the those forementioned, combine folk with some really lovely electric elements, sometimes even fairly heavy, such as their version of "Sheepcrook and Black Dog."

Here is their website:

There are some nice live in-studio videos on the website.

And a link to the recording on YouTube:

Thanks for posting Nickie
who is the male singer on blackleg miner?  edit - Colin Meloy?
I will bring this over to the prog folk team.  I think it's certainly a potential for prog folk

Colin Meloy is indeed the Blackleg Miner singer.
It's about time that Prog Folk had some work to do.
As you'd mentioned elsewhere that it's been a bit quiet lately.  Smile

Anything going on in the background for this band, yet?  Just curious.  Smile
