Not among my favorites but An Inmate's Lullaby has all that I love about Gentle Giant 1970-72. By far my favorite tune here and almost out of place in this album context.

Title track all the way. When that rock riff kicks in FTW! What a heavy groove. GG rules.

I’m thinking A Way of Life here. It opens with someone yelling ‘GO’ and that cracked me up for years coz it sounded like me yelling ‘Go’ on some recording I was involved with years ago.
sh*t I hate correcting spelling mistakes.....

the title track is the best rock song mainstream radio folks will never fully know of sadly, a juggernaut of seminal force and unstoppable powers.

It's between the opener and the closer on this album. Could vote for either but I've gone for "The Runaway"

If Way Of Life ended better, I would probably vote for that.

As such...title track over Inmates.

No real masterpiece... Anyway, Runaway
Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

Runaway is GGs best track. So it’s an easy vote
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.
