One of the easiest polls ever: the album that came closest to the edge of perfection vs. a good album with an undeniable historical value and therefore mistaken for a masterpiece.

Kind of interesting: One album launched the progressive genre into the mainstream and the other made most people hate it.

I'm guitarist and songwriter for the prog-related band Mother Bass. Find us at http://www.motherbass.com. I also enter stages throughout the Netherlands performing my poetry.

It was a Close to the Edge call for me, but I went for In the Court of the Crimson King in the end.

Close to the Edge, though of course I love both, and I think these are the two most important / representative albums on prog.

Put ItCotCK up against any album and I'll always go with KC. I doubt that the others wouldn't exist without it.
