Hello!

Full disclosure but this Is a submission for my own band.

Why I think Tree of Alchemical Notability should be added

I’ve been a frequent lurker of Progarchives for over 9 years now, and I’m so grateful that this site exists, the albums and artists I’ve discovered on here have had such an immense influence on my own musical journey. Being that my own music is so influenced from the artists found here, I figured mine may well fit the bill too. Albums are conceptual/thematic, contains some of (in my opinion) prog staples such as musical story telling, instrumentals, odd time signatures, and the implementation of a myriad of musical influences.

Band Biography

Tree of Alchemical Notability is a band straight out of your dreams. A solo endeavor manned by David Wilson, a jazz drummer, multi-instrumentalist and student of psychology. Spending his musical career as a session musician in a wide variety of different genres, this band is where he can tap into the roots of his myriad of influences and send listeners on a boundless musical journey through open ended soundscapes and stories.

I don't think this will fit under the Eclectic subgenre, but it might work better under post/math rock possibly???  or maybe crossover prog????  I'm hoping someone from one of those teams will respond.

Umm, on the whole not bad, but cannot feel any rock-ish texture.
Not Post, nor Crossover, nor rock for me. A good ambient nonetheless.

Hmm, I think a majority of it wouldn't fit under math rock, so I'm leaning more towards crossover prog, I think.
Curious to know what the people from those teams would think though.

I agree, definitely ambient for the most part.  There are some progressive aspects in some tracks, but I'm not sure where it would go, hence the question marks.

Since there's no ambient prog section, what about progressive electronic? I feel like Brian Eno would be the closest thing to an ambient prog artist that I could think of. I certainly use a lot of electronics, and work heavily with synthesizers.

Electronic is what I'm thinking.
I like it.
Trust me. I know what I'm doing.
