Fairly luke-warm on the rest of the albums TBH, but it's been a long while since I've played them...
Shocked -their three first are the "real UZ" to me. From Uzed and onwards they lost some of their originality (but still great of course).

I can't argue against originality being highest in the beginning, however for me personally Clivages does as much as if not more than any album from the "classical" period.

Yes I should have phrased it otherwise. Because originality in itself is not a really big deal for me. I think virtually every track on those three first albums are extremely memorable. Even catchy - with so many infectious themes. And its refreshing that its not rock - although it certainly rocks. There's a distinct personality, tone and mood within every composition that I feel kinda got somewhat lost underways. Jack the Ripper - that's like a full gothic novel in fifteen minutes - and a really good one!

-but I notice most people here seem to disagree with me. Which is fine of course. I suppose I'm less interested in rock than I am in progressive.

For me the first 5 are absolute classics. Clivages is the best of the later albums.
