Sad to hear the news of Charlie Watts. He was a very underrated drummer imo. Some might say he wasn't technical but playing fast and flashy wouldn't have worked in the Stones. RIP Charlie.

WOW...RIP Ron, your inspiration, as Mark notes above, definitely impacted me as a kid and actually got me behind a full kit for the first time.

I'm gutted by the news of the passing of British folk guitar virtuoso Michael Chapman at 80. He's the only one of the 60s folk acoustic players that never needed a full band to get his music across. He was a self contained unit. RIP Michael, you were an unsung genius.

RIP Norm McDonald

Very deadpan delivery but very funny nonetheless. He was 61.

That's a big shock to me. Very sad news.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Did anyone mention Roger Newell's passing yet?

Roger Newell, bass player for Rick Wakeman, and 60s cult psychedelic band Rainbow Ffolly among others, has died aged 73.

The bassist suffered an aortic aneurysm on Friday September 10, following a long battle with heart-related illness.

He was best known for performing on Wakeman’s 1974 prog opus, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, as well as its follow-ups, The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and No Earthly Connection, and associated tours.
