We like that don't we? I know I often do. I haven't planned this through, but I'll make some polls where I'll introduce 10 darkly tinted tunes that last at least fifteen minutes - and that I love. That's all really. Don't know them? Well, here's your chance: Edited by Saperlipopette! - September 11 2021 at 10:57 |

Since neither Side A nor Side B of Rubycon is a choice, my vote goes to SFF.

I really like/love everything here, even "De Futura" (even if a recent comment might have made it seem otherwise), but my vote will go to Vortex's "Les Cycles de Thanatos". A superb selection per my tastes.

With TD, "Atem" is the first to spring to my mind. |

-Other than that "Les Cycles de Thanatos" - oh man that magnificent, epic length build-up certainly pays off! It takes both some musical genius and a lot of guts + confidence to pull that off. I think. Which is what I love about a lot of... prog. Yeah, for one thing I appreciate that they challenge themselves first - and then me. (but I prefer it when they somehow succeed as well - like Vortex do:)

So many great tracks here but yeah Cielo Drive 17 is a mesmerizing drive down a rabbit hole. Love that Magma track too but... |

I'm tempted to give Artcane my vote as nobody else will. I'm sure this french late 70's album and its titletrack would please most proggers looking for great lost gems - and even blow them away. But the competition is hard. If I'm honest a handful of the other otions in the poll has meant (a lot) more to me. I've obsessed over: De Futura Cielo Drive, 17 Les Cycles De Thanatos East Hastings & Symphonic Holocaust -in particular |

Good to see SFF pop up in a poll, so it's them.

I know four, maybe five. One vote more for SFF but Godspeed, ADII and Magma are pretty much up there. Need more time to listen to others. Unfortunately there's too much more in life than music listening.
