Songs that quote or directly name other musicians

Pretty much everyone knows the saga of Don McLean's American Pie. While he refers several times to "The day the music died" he never directly mentions Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens or The Big Bopper. Only naming James Dean, Lenin, Marx and Satan none of which are musicians, nor does he quote (musically) any other musicians work.

But, if you listen to either of the songs below both these conditions are met. Manfred Mann quotes Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi @1:10 and The Who's My Generation @2:50 while Nuclear Bird mentions members of Atomic Rooster (Crane, Palmer @2:16 of the song).

So that's what this thread is all about.
What songs do you know that meet one or both of these conditions?

Lynard Skynard refers to Neil Young directly (for Southern Man) in Sweet Home Alabama.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Mott the Hoople's "All the Young Dude's." Of course it was written by Bowie (who also sings background), and mentions T. Rex, the Beatles and the Stones.
