These two fan-base polarizing albums were released five years apart and featured four side-long tracks on the original two LPs. While both have fervent advocates, they also both have outspoken detractors. Neither Yes nor Oldfield would ever attempt anything similar to these albums.
Currently Incantations ranks slightly higher (3.94 vs 3.91) on this site, but Tales from Topographic Oceans has 5 times as many rankings. Please only vote for your preference if you have heard both.

I love both albums, they are from two of my favorite artists, but I have to give the vote to Tales, which begins with an incantation.

Despite I love very much Incantations, my vote goes to Tales, which actually always was one of my favourite Yes albums.

I only listened to Incantations once so far and parts of it sounded extremely repetitive. I'll have to listen to it again though.

I thought about it for a moment, but TFTO (even with its many imperfections) has many more glorious moments than Incantations.

It’s very close for me, but I slightly prefer incantations.
