^ I'm sure she does. At least Tarja can't get sacked from her own band again now that she's a fully-fledged solo artist in her own right. It's far more likely Delain's new vocalist will be someone we've never heard of before - or at least someone I've never heard of before. Smile

I don't know what happened to Charlotte, I know that soon after the release of their last album, the band announced they disbanded, only to regroup without their vocalist a few months later. Weird. I don't know the whole story. Now they are making new music with a secret vocalist. Again weird I dare say.

^^ Does the 'they' include Timo, Otto and Joey, or a completely new line-up? There is a clip (I haven't watched) come out 2 days ago, saying Martijn wants Delain to now continue as a band rather than a side-project after all??? I'm not a big Delain fan personally, but it seemed to me he had a good, unified band with great chemistry, which he went and destroyed for no good reason??

Current line-up, minus the secret vocalist:
2002- Martijn Westerholt - keyboards
2007-2009 Ronald Alexander Landa - guitars, vocals
› 2021- -//- guitars
2007-2014 Sander Richard Zoer - drums
› 2021- -//-

they're also rather "meh", took me less then 5 minutes to cringe a bit. Stern Smile
Well, at least Tezaura's unintentionally amusing album title made me smile:- "Unleash the Butterflies" Tongue

Is "Tezaura" the origins of "thesaurus", as I wondered what that might be? Big smile

There's something about the name Voivod that's always put me off checking them out, although I like this Pink Floyd cover.....

I guess, this intuition of yours is a right one, and the PF cover probably one of not many songs of theirs, you would like - even I don't know their newer albums. Smile

Having now read the whole thread I’m not sure if I’m any clearer on the genre😂

Will try to listen to some of the bands mentioned though. Already a big fan of Nightwish and a few others.

Read yesterday that Floor Jansen was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Prognosis is good apparently 🤞I wish her and her family all the best - my wife was diagnosed 5 years ago (aged 46) so I know what they’re going through😑
