The new decade saw a rebirth of Canterbury music, largely led by Richard Sinclair. I remember seeing him in several guises in the early 90s from Caravan to Going Going. The jazzier end was also represented well by Gongzilla over in the States and of course, Phil Miller's In Cahoots. Wyatt also came out with a belter.

![]() I don't know much here in this poll, I've heard of In Cahoots, but I've never listened to a full album.

Thank you for pointing that out but I'm not doing it again. I am sure Caravan fans will remind me!

I'm not familiar with any of the albums in the poll, but I do know Caravan's Battle of Hastings album.

I glad that I’m not the only one who doesn’t know theses albums. I don’t know even the Battle Of Hastings album ![]() |

I'll go with Mont Campbell, lovely album but nowhere near Canterbury.

Yes, another 'marginal' decision but given this was Mont's return to the fray, as it were, after quitting National Health, I felt it deserved an honourable mention!

American bands Volaré and The Muffins both put out great Canterbury Style albums in the 90s: The Uncertainty Principle (1997) and Chronometers (1993), respectively.

Have not heard either of the In Cahoots listed. Their live album from the 90's is most excellent.

I voted for Robert Wyatt's Dondestan, but surely my favourite of his in the 90s, and it's one of my favourite albums of his overall, and it's one of my favourite albums of the 90s, is Shleep (1997).

I give some love to Richard Sinclair's RSVP, but I know very little here. I do like Gongzilla though.

This is a really good one with Holdsworth and some Gong people. My choice. |

Inspired by my own poll, I gave Somewhere in France another listen...it's superb.
Couple of recommendations coming in about US bands - honestly, I took so much crap about including the 'Canterbury related' Camel in previous polls, I have been very careful with selection this time...
