It has to be Marillion, but...

Forces was always my favourite GLD album... Thumbs Up
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Marillion. It's nice that my neighbors put down newspaper for me.

Welcome to the middle of the film.

It looks like I backed a loser again - my singular vote for Moria Falls has fallen by the wayside against the mighty Marillion. Confused

Arena, very strong album. Remember the adverts appearing on UK national TV. Their record company gave them a serious push and putting money behind a prog band was quite a ballsy thing to do at the time!

Also about this time I was beginning to wonder what the point of Marillion was. Didn't like Brave and couldn't take to this or TSE when that arrived. Admittedly I haven't bothered to revisit it all these years later. I did check my 2012 review of This Strange Engine and my big issue with that seemed to be the damped down keyboards. Always seemed a waste of talent for Mark Kelly to be so 'side-lined'.

Songs From the Lions' Cage is a superb album. Wins this by some margin.

Marillion of course, but it was hardly neo-prog at that point
So Grey Lady Down or Landmarq
