As I've delved into the Nektar live albums, I've observed a distinct lack of consensus regarding which one is considered their best.

At the moment, I'm still unsure which one I'd choose. Confused

What's everyone's favorite?

I was unsure which one to choose too, but I Remember the Future Live at Rockpalast concert in 2005 was a strong contender. Wink

I'm also undecided which one is my favorite, but at the moment, I would say Live in Bremen, so it gets my vote.

Hi

I kinda thought that "SOUNDS LIKE THIS" is/was the best live album they ever did. It was astounding from beginning to the end. Live in the studio at least.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

John and I were only discussing this in another thread a few days ago, Pedro. The Esoteric Recordings re-issue contains a 75 minute 2nd disk, from two sessions in Stommeln 1972/3; slightly more free-form jamming of the same material, though structurally still quite disciplined. It's certainly worth getting hold of if you only own the vinyl.
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

After listening to most of their live albums, I've come to the conclusion that "Live in Germany 2005" could very well be my top pick, if only for its impressive tracklist. However, "Greatest Hits Live" is also a strong contender.

- A Tab in the Ocean
- Remember the Future (Part 1)
- Remember the Future (Part 2)
- Recycled
- A Day in the Life of a Preacher

...What can get better?
